Before graduate school, I was a part-time artist/illustrator in Hanoi. My work captures my life—coffee, cats, plants, landscapes, and figure drawings. I use bold and vivid colors, either gouache on paper or oil on canvas. This page features selected artwork.
My artwork has appeared in the Fourth and Fifth Hanoi Open Exhibitions (2017 & 2018). In 2019, I and Eriko Hamada exhibited our joint project Mi going to Japan whose poster can still be found at Tranquil Books & Coffee, 15B Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi. Recently my work was showcased at B. Jones Gallery (Emory University) in Fall 2024.
Although graduate studies have got me busy, I always find time to create original artwork, a habit that I am proud to keep amid this GenAI era. I sell merches--postcards, stickers, zines, and keychains--from my artwork in minifairs whenever I am back to my homecountry. My products can be found at Quest Bookstore (Hanoi) and Da Nhan (Phu Yen).
